Even in Europe we’re ready for the iPhone: The Tube now adds support for the iPhone.

By TubeStick

While you’re perhaps waiting for the iPhone in Europe, you don’t have to worry about your videos. Starting today, all recordings from The Tube can be exported to your iPhone.
You just have to decide which of your recorded shows you want to see on-the-go, and the Tube will do the rest. The Tube 1.1.2 uses AltiVec for de-interlacing, which helps improve the picture for users with G4 and G5 Macs. It also increases stability on the G4 and G5 Macs, making the program overall more reliable. And last but not least: If you’re using AppleScript to program recordings, you’ll be happy with our improved support for AppleScript! The Tube 1.1.2 is free for every TubeStick customer. Make sure to get your copy today!

WWDC, iPhone and other Negligibilities

By CoverScout, iSale, MediaCentral, TubeStick, VPN Tracker

After three days at WWDC every developer can spell i-p-h-o-n-e forwards and backwards. Apple is heavily promoting development for its upcoming cell phone and wants every developer to polish up on their Web 2.0 skills in order to build something for the iPhone. Maybe the guys in Cupertino are just a little bit nervous about their first step into the world of mobile communications? Anyhow we’re enjoying the conference and ourselves as you can see in our latest pictures.

Same procedure as every year: equinux joins Apple’s World Wide Developers Conference (WWDC) in San Francisco. In only a few hours Steve Jobs will open WWDC 2007 with his well known keynote. equinux’ developers already arrived and secured their tickets after taking a breakfast. But the main question on first day was: Is 9 am too late for breakfast when you actually woke up at 5 am?

When the copier is already in use…

balatv
The next stop for equinux’ trend scouters is Taipeh’s Computex, the world’s second largest fair for computer electronics and information technology. It’s fairly unusual to come across cheap knockoffs and even more unusual to see a producer presenting the original right beside the copy. BaLaTV is one knockoff that unmistakably has Apple TV as an archetype. Funny enough… its producer calls itself Macpower. According to the staff at its booth, BaLaTV is just a prototype and is the successor of D7-3500. And it doesn’t take too much to find the inspiration for that machine, either.

Boosted performance and stability with The Tube 1.1.1

By TubeStick

We didn’t want to leave for the weekend without fixing some important issues with The Tube. Our developers pushed the right buttons and boosted performance, especially when watching TV in full screen or using a G4 or G5 computer. We’ve also optimized the reliability of the EPG-information for each channel and improved the keyboard control. By hitting the spacebar you are now able to pause the running program.

For all multi-lingual people we’ve optimized the multi audio track detection and localized The Tube in French. Isn’t that something. Oui, c’est vrai. The Tube sait parler francais maintenant.

The Tube 1.1.1 is a free update for registered users and is shipped together with TubeStick. TubeStick can be pruchased either at your local Apple Retailer
or directly at the equinux Online Store.
