TV Movie Flat Rate for The Tube

Posted on 9. July, 2010 in Company, iPad Apps, iPhone Apps, The Tube

Up until now it was just iPhone and iPad users who had access to the entire TV guide offered by TV Movie Flat Rate. The Tube users are now able to benefit from the TV Movie Flat Rate too.

We’ve just released The Tube 2.9.7, an update to our TV software. This small update prepares The Tube to be able to use the full features offered by TV Movie Flat Rate, which replaces the existing TV Movie EPG.

What this means for you is that with a single Flat Rate subscription, you can get the complete TV Movie guide on your iPhone, iPad and on your Mac via The Tube. One service, three great uses.

We’re adding to the usefulness of the TV Movie Flat Rate by combining TV Movie on the iPhone, iPad and in The Tube at the end of September. However, you can start using the service right away by buying it directly in the TV Movie apps for iPhone and iPad (in the App Store) or by going to the equinux Online Store.

Barbecue HD – bigger, better, tastier.

Posted on 11. May, 2010 in iPad Apps, iPhone Apps

Summer is around the corner and at equinux HQ that means just one thing: Barbecue season. After the success of last year’s eye-catching iPhone app, you can now get your teeth into the mouth-watering Barbecue HD for the iPad on the App Store.

Taking full advantage of the extra screen real estate on the iPad, our new Barbecue HD means iPad users can now see the steaks, hot dogs and kebabs in incredible detail and high resolution.

You can pick up and get a closer look at your steaks using your fingertips, and make sure they’re grilled exactly to order. We’ve also included new serving suggestions with new tablecloths, cutlery, serving plates and side dishes.

But above all else, it’s the attention to detail and amazing high resolution graphics that make the iPad come alive. When we originally published the Making of Barbecue, we wrote that the iPhone 3GS allowed for faster graphics processing. The sheer size of the iPad and large screen resolution means we can now showcase the best of the 160GB of photographs taken in full glory.

Every scorch, singe and sizzle can be seen and heard on the iPad exactly as originally visioned.

Free update to TV Movie iPhone app

Posted on 2. March, 2010 in iPhone Apps

This morning our free update for TV Movie was made available by Apple for download on the iPhone App Store. This new version 2.2 has been developed to include built-in data storage, meaning once you’ve filled up on data, you can use the app completely offline. No need to load each channel separately. This should be great news for iPod touch users. It’ll also make downloading the TV guide a whole lot quicker.

The TV Movie update has been a while in coming. We’re reading the reviews with interest and the latest version already has an average of 4.5 stars in the App Store. The comments so far have been fantastic and we’re glad those users are finally getting the most out of their app. It’s a good start but we’d like to know what you think of it too.

Download the app for 79 cents on the App Store, or update the app for free. Don’t forget to write a review so others can read what you make of it.
